Sailing Courses Terms and Conditions

What is included?

The price includes:
• Marine expenses
• Fuel 
• Crew insurance
• Polo shirt “Extreme Sailing Academy”
• Certificate of participation
• Work-book and pen

The price does NOT include:
• Galley and food on land
• Accommodation on land in the days during the preparation
• Everything that has not been specified in the previous paragraph

Payment

Planned payment:
The participant can split the course payment in two tranches (Advanced payment of 50% + Final payment of 50%).
If you choose this payment mode, there is an extra fee of 30€ on the price of the course.

One-shot payment:
There is no extra fee if you pay the entire price of the course at the booking moment.

Early Booking Discount:
You can take advantage of the 10% Early Booking Discount if you formalize the booking within 70 days before the course starts.

General conditions

Withdrawal:
The Participant may withdraw from the course, obtaining a full refund, up to 30 days from the first payment date, or 60 days before departure.

Modification by the participant:
If the Participant is unable to take part in the course due to a cause of force majeure, and notify it to Extreme Sailing Academy at least 4 days before the beginning of the course, he/she is entitled to attend a subsequent session of the same course.
You can choose another course date without any extra fee.

Cancellation by Extreme Sailing Academy:
If the course will not carry out due to causes independent of the Participant, Extreme Sailing Academy undertakes to reserve a place in one of the subsequent sessions, but in this case it will not take care of any additional expenses incurred by the Participant (flights, stays or other).

Course suspension:
The suspension of the course is a decision taken exclusively by the Captain.
In order to guarantee the highest level of safety, the course could be subject to slight changes, above all regarding the departure time and the return from the non-stop navigation.
If the course is suspended or deviated due to cause of force majeure (such as bad weather, technical problems, accidents or the lack of security or safety conditions) nothing is due to the Participant, including any additional expenses such as flights, stays, etc.

Responsibilities and behaviour rules of the Participant
The participant is aware that the activity could be challenging under a physical and mental profile. The participant is committed to maintain a non-dangerous and collaborative behaviour. Furthermore, the participant undertakes to adopt all the procedures ordered by the Captain, especially in the security field.

Damages
The participant is not responsible for any damage suffered by the boat during the course, unless intentionally caused. Extreme Sailing Academy is not responsible for any damage to personal objects suffered by the Participant (such as loss of clothes, breakage of the mobile phone, etc …)
